On Dec 6, 2020, Sydney completed her Eagle Project which involved rebuilding a garden fence for the Holly Springs Food Cupboard. Sydney completed her Eagle Board of Review on February 8, 2021 earning her the rank of Eagle Scout.
“I am going to be removing the current fence around the West Garden and replacing it with an 8ft tall fence with 6ft of deer netting, 2ft of chicken wire as well as a decorative fence around the garden. The [old] fence has been in place for many years and has started to fail to keep out animals such as deer and rabbits because of the original design. The new fence will be much taller so that deer cannot reach over the fence and it will be much sturdier and less susceptible to storms.” – Sydney H.
